Event Structure BrowserThe EVA Netmodeler Event Subsystem allows monitoring things that happen or time to cause appropriate responses to take place. An example would be watching the type Data Model to see when a new instance is created, then sending an e-mail notification to the Data Administrator. Another example might be triggering a periodic scan of a directory to pick up new documents that are dropped there. An event is normally monitored by an Event Subscription which identifies what to monitor (e.g. type or time), what condition to look for (e.g. Item create; time elapsed) and then links to one or more Event Actions. These specify what should be done when the monitored situation occurs, e.g. the e-mail mentioned above, or creating another item etc. This tool allows you to easily see which events are configured on a system and what the resulting actions will be. This function can be accessed from the EVA Netmodeler system menu. |
