External Asset Test Tool

Items in the EVA Netmodeler repository can refer to a great deal of external content (e.g. URLs on the world wide web or company intranet). Since this content is outside the managed zone on the server where EVA Netmodeler ensures integrity for uploaded documents and content items, those external items may be removed or moved without informing the repository. This will leave a "broken" link in the repository. From time to time, it is a good idea to check the references to external content and see if they are still valid. An administrator or content manager can run this tool to check external links automatically without having to go to each item and try the link. Any broken links will be shown with a red background.

You can also use the tool to automatically change references that you know should be altered - for example if some content on your intranet has been moved to a different server. To do this, specify the Url replace source and with target parameters. EVA Netmodeler will then replace all occurrences of the source URL with the specified target URL.
