Documents within EVA NetmodelerA document within EVA Netmodeler is a file submitted by a user, which will be stored on the server, and which EVA Netmodeler will track in terms of relationships and versions. EVA Netmodeler is not concerned with the internal structure of the document file. Typical file types used as documents include:
A document can be any type of file that you have an application for on the client workstation. EVA Netmodeler automatically manages versions of documents stored in document properties. When you edit an item that contains a document property you have the option of uploading a new file to the EVA Netmodeler repository. EVA Netmodeler will automatically create an archive copy of the old version and associate the new file with the item being edited. Clicking the versions button next to the document property will display the list of previous versions of the document.
The user is free to upload a document with a completely different name and document type, as these attributes are not managed by the tool for document property types. It is possible to use the Default item feature of EVA Netmodeler to provide templates for documents that will be stored in document properties.
