Using SQL Queries in Calc Fields and Custom Events

This section  provides a step by step guide on using SQL queries in Calc Fields and Custom Events to incorporate data from external databases into your EVA Netmodeler Repository. It comprises the following subsections:

• Preparation of the environment describes what needs to be done to set up the environment for the practical example used in this section
• SQL in Calc fields describes how to include SQL queries in Calc fields
• SQL in Custom Events describes how to embed SQL queries into EVA Netmodeler custom events

The SQL Query facility is intended for use by power users and should be used responsibly. EVA Netmodeler places no limitation on the type of SQL Query that can be used in this facility or the volume of data that may be affected by the use of this facility.
