Installation and LicenseThe purpose of this section is to assist with the installation of EVA Netmodeler. It is assumed in this section that you have either downloaded the EVA Netmodeler install from a web site, or you have received a CD that contains the EVA Netmodeler installation. Note, the installation is pre-configured for evaluation and thus pre-set to use an internal (Access) database, the Apache http server, and will be usage limited with a default evaluation key. Installing EVA NetmodelerDetailed instructions are provided in the file: Installation Guide Installing a license fileEVA Netmodeler is activated by a license file contained in the Application directory after installation. The file is named license.lic and is encrypted. It contains the licensed organization name as well as details about number of concurrent users allowed, number of types that may be created in the repository and license expiry date. If this file is missing, damaged or expired, EVA Netmodeler will start but users attempting to log on will be informed that the license is invalid. Also in this directory is a file named license.txt which has the details of the license in plain text. These details are also available from the EVA Netmodeler server console window if you are running with an interface up (i.e. not as a service). When you are shipped a renewed or upgraded license, it may be name for your organization and date. The .lic file should be renamed as above and copied into the Application directory replacing the previous copy to activate the renewal or upgrade. This will be effective with an EVA Netmodeler server restart. |
